Voices from the Warehouse District: V8 Issues Call to Artists to Submit Artwork

DUBUQUE, IA – (February 17, 2012) Celebrating its 8th year, Voices from the Warehouse District is issuing a call for artists 18 years and over to submit images for jury selection to be included in this year’s exhibition which will run Saturday, September 8, 2012 through Friday, October 5, 2012. This year’s theme is INNOV8: Break the Paradigm. The entry deadline for artists’ submissions is April 1, 2012 with notification of selected works for the exhibition on April 15, 2012. The deadline for delivery of accepted work is August 1, 2012.

Located at 10th & Jackson Streets in the heart of Dubuque’s Historic Millwork District with 15,000 square feet of warehouse space, Voices offers artists an opportunity to explore content and exhibit in scale and mediums uninhibited by the conventions of traditional gallery or museum space.  Fields of interest include: large and small scale installation, painting, photograph, works on paper, sculpture, and video.

Voices from the Warehouse District is an affiliate of The Dubuque County Fine Arts Society (DCFAS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1976. Its mission is to offer arts and cultural programming to the entire Tri-State region.
